Anti-Inflammatory activity of the crude extracts of mangifera indica Linn.

The crude ethyl acetate and ethanol root extracts of Mangifera indica L. were evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity using rats, in which Mangifera indica L. root of these extracts exhibited a dose dependent inhibition of inflammation.With higher doses (300mg/kg of ethanol extract), the effects were comparable with that of standard namely Diclofenac sodium.
