C60-CdS Composite Films: Electrochemical Preparation And Electrocatalysis Of Hemoglobin In An Aqueous Solution

The electrochemical behavior of a C60/CdS film cast on GC electrode in the acetonitrile solution was investigated. Subsequent cyclic voltammetric scans transformed the precursor to a C60-CdS composite film which exhibited quasi-reversible electron-transfer reactions. The formation and structure of the C60-CdS composite films were characterized byUV-Vis and TEM. To explore the biological activities of the composite films, the electrocatalysis of Hb(hemoglobin) at the C60-CdS composite filmwas also studied.Moreover, the preferable catalytic activity of C60- CdS/Hb composite film towards hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) was demonstrated.
