Electrocatalytic oxidation of amlodipinebesylate with phenyl hydrazine as a mediator at carbon paste electrode

The anodic oxidation of amlodipine besylate has been studied at a carbon paste electrode by electrocatalytic effect of phenyl hydrazine homogenousmediator, using cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry as diagnostic technique. Using cyclicvoltammetry study showed that, the catalytic current of the systemdepends on the concentration of amlodipine besylate magnitude of the peak current for phenyl hydrazine increased sharply in the presence of phenyl hydrazine, and proportional to amlodipinebesylate concentration.
