Mixed Ligand Complexes Derived from 4-(Benzeneazo) Salicyladehyde and 2-Amino-4-Nitrophenol using Transition Metal Ions

This paper includes synthesis and characterization of mixed ligand complexes derived from 4-(Benzeneazo) salicylaldehyde and 2-amino-4-nitrophenol using transition metal ions such as Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II). The synthesized complexes have been characterized with the help of molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and spectral techniques such as IR, 1H-NMR and electronic spectra. The synthesized complexes are also screened for their antibacterial activities. The studies made on these complexes proposed a six coordinated octahedral geometry for all these complexes.
