One-Pot Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of New Aminophosphonates

A simple, efficient and catalyst-free method for the synthesis of -amino phosphonates is developed via three-component Kabachnik-Fields reaction by reacting nor-valine ethyl ester (1) / Phenyl glycine ethyl ester (4), various substituted aromatic aldehydes (2a-i) and dialkyl/aryl phosphite in dry ethanol/toluene under reflux conditions. The structures of all the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, 1H, 13C, 31P-NMR and Mass spectral data.
