Synthesis Of High Aluminum Zeolite X With Domestic Resources

High aluminum zeolite 13X with Si/Al molar ratio between 1 and 1.1 was synthesized from mixing sodium aluminate and sodium silicate solutions at temperatures 70 - 100°C. Effects of aging, temperature and composition of the reaction mixture on the formation of zeolite X were investigated. The crystalline product was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and chemical analysis. In this work, attempts were made to synthesis high aluminum zeolite X suitable for use in separation and ion-exchange processes. ï›™ 2006 Trade Science Inc. - INDIA
